Christmas in Manitoba

For Christmas this year we decided to bless Mom and Dad with 'gifts' another way. We know that Mom and Dad would have solely appreciated all of us being at their house for Christmas but in the spirit of all being together we organized a gingerbread house contest. We split into our respective couples and then started creating. Mom and Dad were asked to make a house as well so they could understand the difficulty of building. Once we all finished building Mom and Dad judged our houses, MOrgan and I tied for 2nd out of 4 couples. So yes, we almost won and lost simultaneously.

Colin and Lori hard at work, yes they lost for overachieving!

Great Grandma with her newest grandchild, Wren.

Busy working!

It was hard work competing with the super organized teachers in the family. (Yes, I will blame our kids for picking out our candy.)

We were only allowed 1 pound of candy per couple with challenge candies to incorporate near the end of our allotted building time.

Tyler sneaking some candy. I think they were docked points for that :)

Finished - a rocketship

Sawyer had a hard time not napping and when she did it was hard to wake her up.

Enjoying her new playdoh from Uncle Scott and Auntie Andrea. She now has started calling Andrea, Auntie Scotty. hehe, two birds with one stone?!

Gift time!

More playdoh
