Cooper's first day of Preschool (Year 2)

This little man could hardly wait to be heading off to preschool. Especially since Sawyer had already been going for two weeks. He loves his school, teacher and learning. He is so excited to make new friends this year. He came home on Monday saying Mom I made so many new friends today. And then told me how he asked if they would like to be his friend. His line went something like this:

'Hi my name is Cooper. What is your name? (Insert childs name). Would you like to be my new friend?'

Oh. my. heart.

Backyard BBQ at First Baptist

Today we headed over to church to join in on the kick-off weekend. Today was incredible and church really did a wonderful job of having a wide variety of activities for the kids to do. These 4 had an amazing time.

These two - they decided they wanted to try and climb the climbing wall! It was pretty challenging considering they couldn't reach from rock to rock without a push on the bum. So proud of Cooper and Ms. Kenzie! 

Summer love

I had a market in a nearby community, so Grandma O and the kids tagged along! I think fun was had by all! 

Their love for each other runs deep! 

Cooper the Baker - extraordinaire

While big sis is away, Coop and Mommy get to play. Well, really... we bake and practice perfecting his scrambled eggs. 

Sawyer goes to Kindergarten

I feel like this day couldn't come fast enough, but I wish it didn't come as well. Sending our firstborn off to Kindergarten has been very bittersweet. She LOVES school, always has, and hopefully always will. However, I feel like I have lost a little bit of control over her life and need to let her teacher take some of the control that I'm relinquishing. The best part of Kindergarten for me is that, she loves it and her teacher not only goes to our church, but is in a women's bible study with me. How could our transition into school have been more amazing. She is truly an amazing teacher and knows just how to deal with her 15 little crazies.
