August long - Jones family Reunion

August long we headed up to Lac des Isles about 2 1/2 hours north of Lloydminster. We met up with most of Morgan's mom side (The Jones'). When the Jones' get together there is never a dull or quiet moment. The kids had a blast and tell everyone about their tenting weekend at Ezra and Ryder's lake :) So yes, we drove over 2500km the weekend before and were home for 2 days and then headed off to the lake again. So much driving, but so so SO worth every kilometer!

Checking out the campground

Our sweet tent!

Playing Dominion only minutes after setting up.

These girls bonded, so sweet!

More Dominion

Nothing says camping like, tea, wine and BBQ pizza ;)

Our tent became the library over the weekend. There was always a kid close by with a book in hand near the tent.

Morning view. It was an amazing weekend

Our fivenager slept in until 10am one morning. Even with the light, noise and people peeking in on her.

Showing Cooper how to build a fire.

Yup, still fast asleep!

Our manly breakfast cooked by Morgan

Tons of visiting and games all weekend!
Loving boat life. And it was obviously too bright to get everyone looking :)

Our pro skier :) He loved every minute on the easy ski! Especially when we taught him how to go faster and make waves.

She loved it too! The only one with a ridiculous smile plastered on her face the whole time. (Minus the time she fell off and had a few moments of sheer panic.)

This cutie!

The kids had an amazing weekend and we cannot wait for next summer!

Falcon Lake

The day after horse camp we drove for 13 hours to spend the night with my brother and family in Winnipeg and then continued onto Falcon Lake. We drove 2525 km roundtrip. So much driving, but so worth it. Not only was the lake incredible, the sand perfect, and the weather hot, we were able to spend some much needed quality time with my family!

They love each other, even after 13 hours in the car!

Eastern Manitoba

Gorgeous lake!

Horse Camp at Colchester Stables

Sawyer and Grandma headed off to horse camp at Colchester Stables at the end of July. I love that Sawyer can bond with Grandma over their love of horses. They spent 3 nights visiting Grandma's good friend and her granddaughter. Sawyer had an amazing time. She learned so much about horses and her Jr. Instructor (who was the instructors 9 year old daughter) told Sawyer everything she knows about horses. It was non-stop chatter between those girls.

The ring. It was pretty cold and rainy the week of camp so they spent most days in the arena.
