Sullivan Richard Kaminski

Sometime in summer I had mentioned to Correna about doing a baby shower for one of our best friends, Sarah Jane. Then came fall, then snow, and once Christmas arrived we decided that we better get a few things done so that we could actually pull this shower off. It was a great night being able to see Sarah surrounded by people who love her and want to pour their blessing on her and her new son, Sullivan "Sully", who by the way is super cute and CHUBBY!

The seat of honor, for the newest of mommies. Notice the theme, ties and mustaches, yes the tree was even decorated with ties and mustaches!! (Thanks Leah for the cutouts!)
Yummy food, color coordinated of course ;)

The man of the hour, Sully! I love his chubbiness!

A brand new kitchen

For Christmas we got a brand new kitchen, oh it's plastic and sits in Sawyers room. The kids received a play kitchen from their Grandma and Grandpa Penner. It is great, Sawyer is always bringing us new food to eat and wanting to play kitchen with Cooper. Cooper loves it as well, however I think that he wishes that the food was all real.

Quilting

I have finally dusted off my sewing machine after a busy fall and Christmas season. I have had such an itch to stitch. And it has been great!! The kids play downstairs while I sew. Every time I stop sewing Sawyer says "All done, Mommy!" only for me to start up again. Then she says, "Doing, Mommy?" Every time I say I'm still sewing honey. This usually continues for up to about 45 minutes.

I will post a picture once I have it all sewn together!

More of Manitoba

While in Manitoba we met the kids only Penner cousin, Lawrence "Wren" Jon Penner. He is such a content baby, Mom and Dad are lucky!

Gathering of the Penners

Every Christmas as many of the Penners who can get together try. So this year we were only missing one cousin! Pretty fantastic for a group of 25ish people over a busy season!

Visiting with relations

All set for lunch!!
Grandma even got her Pinterest on. Not that she knows what Pinterest is. But I think that this is very Pinteresting!

Yes, it is easier to clean a naked boy than a bib.

Christmas in Manitoba

For Christmas this year we decided to bless Mom and Dad with 'gifts' another way. We know that Mom and Dad would have solely appreciated all of us being at their house for Christmas but in the spirit of all being together we organized a gingerbread house contest. We split into our respective couples and then started creating. Mom and Dad were asked to make a house as well so they could understand the difficulty of building. Once we all finished building Mom and Dad judged our houses, MOrgan and I tied for 2nd out of 4 couples. So yes, we almost won and lost simultaneously.

Colin and Lori hard at work, yes they lost for overachieving!

Great Grandma with her newest grandchild, Wren.

Busy working!

It was hard work competing with the super organized teachers in the family. (Yes, I will blame our kids for picking out our candy.)

We were only allowed 1 pound of candy per couple with challenge candies to incorporate near the end of our allotted building time.

Tyler sneaking some candy. I think they were docked points for that :)

Finished - a rocketship

Sawyer had a hard time not napping and when she did it was hard to wake her up.

Enjoying her new playdoh from Uncle Scott and Auntie Andrea. She now has started calling Andrea, Auntie Scotty. hehe, two birds with one stone?!

Gift time!
