Calgary getaway

In short, Correna and I took 5 kids under 3 1/2 to Calgary for the long weekend. I'll tell you all about it when I get the 600 ish pictures from her. But for now here are a few driving pictures from the weekend. From the start, excited, to the end, exhaustion.

Seeding

Now that seeding is almost done I guess I should post these pictures. :-)

Off to the field we go! Freedom! Yay for no car seats!

Just a relaxing day in the field.

Yay for seeding! (Or spraying)

Mother's day sale!

At the beginning of May the guild put on a pottery sale, just in time for mother's day! It was a great success And we're excited for the one coming up at the beginning of June at the Lloydminster street fest!
A few pieces, prepped and ready for sale!

Even the kids came, for the treats, I mean to support me!

Prep

I've been getting ready for Sawyer's 3rd birthday for a while now. However, I haven't taken many pictures (more to come)! I making a burlap banner. Everything is cut out, but now I need to iron on interfacing to stiffen it, and paint Happy Birthday on it!

Spring means more babies!

I guess I should add, more babies at the farm, animal babies that is ;)

We went out to the farm yesterday with one of Sawyers best friends, Tess. As Tess lives in the city she doesn't get to experience farm life. What a great way to introduce her to the farm with babies! We pet the chicks and then headed off to the pasture to find some cute baby calves!

She loved holding the chicks!

Even Nancy, her mom, enjoyed the cuteness of the chicks!

I had to force Sawyer to pet the chicks, she didn't freak out. There was no way that she was holding them though.

Off to see the cows!

Catching a calf. Thoughts of 4-H ran through my head as my feet now have bruises on them from being stepped on. Should've brought my rubbers!

Sizing up the cows!

Cooper is SUCH a farm boy. He loved exploring and was right in with the calves. Not a care in the world!!

Chasing the cows!

A day-old calf.

Time for a water break! Did I mention it was 30 degrees out yesterday?!?!

Going for a ride with Grampa

Lunchtime! YUMMY hotdogs!

Completely KO'ed. Utter exhaustion. I've never been able to put him down without a crib or playpen! This just shows how much fun we'd been having!

Time for a horse ride!

Off they go!

Sawyer and her Gramma. One day Gramma won't have to ride behind the saddle, she'll just be on another horse!

One more quick pet before going home!
