Cookie dough, cuddles and cake!

Have you noticed a reoccurring theme in my kitchen? The kids LOVE spatulas and they love it even more when there is dough, icing, you name it, they'll eat it. Sawyer always helps to mix the cookie dough and this time she dunked her hand into the baking soda and then proceeded to lick it off. My response was, "ewww Sawyer that's yucky!" And her response? "I yike it Mommy, so goooood!" I think she takes after Morgan ;)

Every so often we are able to get a cuddle in. Usually this only lasts for a few minutes. This time it lasted a few minutes and then I thought "Hey I should take a picture!" This never happens. 

I made my first from scratch Angel Food cake yesterday. I think that it looks great. Thanks to the girls on PS:Heart. We cannot wait to try it tonight!

Sometime in summer I had mentioned to Correna about doing a baby shower for one of our best friends, Sarah Jane. Then came fall, then snow, and once Christmas arrived we decided that we better get a few things done so that we could actually pull this shower off. It was a great night being able to see Sarah surrounded by people who love her and want to pour their blessing on her and her new son, Sullivan "Sully", who by the way is super cute and CHUBBY!

A brand new kitchen

For Christmas we got a brand new kitchen, oh it's plastic and sits in Sawyers room. The kids received a play kitchen from their Grandma and Grandpa Penner. It is great, Sawyer is always bringing us new food to eat and wanting to play kitchen with Cooper. Cooper loves it as well, however I think that he wishes that the food was all real.

Quilting

I have finally dusted off my sewing machine after a busy fall and Christmas season. I have had such an itch to stitch. And it has been great!! The kids play downstairs while I sew. Every time I stop sewing Sawyer says "All done, Mommy!" only for me to start up again. Then she says, "Doing, Mommy?" Every time I say I'm still sewing honey. This usually continues for up to about 45 minutes.
