Activity bags

Before we left for Manitoba this Christmas I decided I better make some activity bags for Sawyer to have something to do along the way. I spent WAY TOO much time on them. I definitely made a few that are just a bit too advanced for her. But there were about 3 that she loved and did over and over and over again!! I found this blog and it had AMAZING ideas and fairly age appropriate things for Sawyer to do. Cooper however, we think, was bored out of his mind. Poor kid!

Laminators are amazing! These pages are for tracing the lines! Hard in the car. But great at home!

All things kid - ready for the road!

Books and movies!

Sawyer's new MEREADER!

Activity bags. From coloring to matching to stickers, bracelets and puzzles.

The snack bin!

The garbage can! Cereal canister and a plastic bag! Genius!

Another shot of the activity bags!!

Pottery

These are just a few of my most recent pieces. Lots were Christmas gifts or preordered! So great to be able to have quick selling pieces!

Such a reader

Sawyer has loved books from day one, but now she loves them even more. She has been copy-cating A LOT. We've had to be much more careful as to what she hears and sees. However, sometimes she does the funniest things.

Welcome

I would like to welcome you all to the newest addition of our family. Blog numero dos! YAY! I guess this means that I should start blogging.

I don't have any recent pictures uploaded however I have been quite busy getting ready for our trip to Manitoba and concluding my last week of work before Christmas break.

I found this great blog on pinterest where she creates activity bags for her kids during quiet time. So I decided that travel activity bags are going to be a must. It usually takes us about 11 hours to make the trek to the Manitoba farm. However, travelling at Christmastime could be a bit hectic and who knows what the weather will be like. I wish that we had a better dollar store so that these activities bags would have cost a lot less, but our dollar store SUCKS! I've heard that Dollar Tree is the dollar store to hit up. Unfortunately, the closest one is in Edmonton. BOO!

We have a hectic day tomorrow, but I will try my best to do some more blogging in the evening. I have also been glazing pottery like mad and will have my third glaze load fired in less than a week! Talk about leaving it until the end. So I will hopefully get some pictures up of my most recent pottery!

I also have a cute video of Cooper. He went from walking 50% of the time to pretty well sprinting 90% of the time in just a few days. I feel like life is SOOOO much easier now that he can get where he wants quicker. This also means that he can chase his big sister around, who as of right now still thinks that this is THE BEST game EVER!

For those of you who haven't taken a look at our family pictures here is a link to our family shoot. It was so much fun. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful friend who is such a talented photographer!
